Security+

The comprehensive curriculum provided me with a solid foundation in essential security concepts, including threat identification, vulnerability assessment, and risk management. Through this course, I gained hands-on experience with various tools and technologies critical to the industry. For instance, I learned about cryptographic tools such as the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and hardware security modules, which are vital for securing hardware and managing encryption keys. Additionally, the course covered identity and access management (IAM) tools, including provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts, password management solutions, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) mechanisms. These tools are essential for ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information. The practical knowledge and skills I acquired have equipped me to effectively address real-world security challenges, making me a valuable asset in the cybersecurity field.

Threat Identification & Risk Management – Understanding attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation strategies. Network Security & Architecture – Securing networks using firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Cryptography & PKI – Implementing encryption methods, digital signatures, and certificate management. Identity & Access Management (IAM) – Managing user authentication, authorization, and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Incident Response & Forensics – Detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. Security Operations & Compliance – Applying security policies, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Malware & Threat Analysis – Identifying and mitigating threats such as ransomware, phishing, and social engineering attacks. Cloud & Virtualization Security – Securing cloud-based environments and virtual machines.

Jnr Penetration Tester

Completing the TryHackMe Junior Penetration Tester pathway has been an incredibly valuable experience, equipping me with essential industry skills for an entry-level penetration testing role. Throughout the hands-on labs and challenges, I developed strong network scanning and enumeration skills using Nmap, gained proficiency in web application security testing with Burp Suite, and honed my exploitation techniques using Metasploit. I also strengthened my ability to conduct vulnerability assessments with tools like Nikto and SQLmap while improving my password cracking and brute-force techniques through Hydra and John the Ripper. Beyond technical skills, the pathway deepened my understanding of privilege escalation, post-exploitation strategies, and professional report writing, ensuring I can effectively identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities in real-world scenarios.

Reconnaissance & Enumeration – Gathering intelligence using tools like Nmap, Gobuster, and Whois. Web Application Security Testing – Identifying vulnerabilities with Burp Suite, Nikto, and SQLmap. Exploitation & Privilege Escalation – Gaining access and escalating privileges using Metasploit and manual techniques. Password Cracking & Credential Attacks – Cracking passwords with John the Ripper, Hydra, and Hashcat. Post-Exploitation & Lateral Movement – Maintaining access and pivoting within networks. Linux & Windows Security – Understanding common misconfigurations and security flaws in both environments. Report Writing & Documentation – Communicating findings effectively for security assessments.

Network+

Completing the CompTIA Network+ course and certification has significantly enhanced my understanding of networking fundamentals and infrastructure. Throughout the course, I gained hands-on experience with various networking tools and software, including Wireshark for network traffic analysis, Nmap for network scanning, and Ping and Traceroute for troubleshooting connectivity issues. I also learned about network configurations, IP addressing, routing and switching protocols, and the management of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). These skills are essential for maintaining secure and efficient networks and have prepared me for real-world networking challenges, ensuring I can contribute effectively in roles involving network administration and support.
